Welcome to Europe's ONLY 'social' club championships!

With teams invited from ALL OVER Europe to compete who knows just who you'll meet at kick off.

The Costa Brava is home to some of Europe’s best and most exclusive sporting facilities and that is exactly why we have chosen this area of Northern Spain to host TourFest 2010! Whether your sport is on the turf or on the court we have secured the best facilities in Spain to enable you and your teams to flex your sporting muscle. This year we want you to experience a proper festival atmosphere so we've chosen one venue to house everything & this venue is Girona University (GEIEG) for all the fun, games & tournament banter!

All of our sports tournaments will be ran and organised by our event management team, responsible for industry leading sporting events such as Rock and Rugby XV's, Strawberries Hockey Tournament, Stockholm Tens, San Miguel Soccer 7’s and CalellaFest, the infamous student sports festival. So don’t worry you couldn’t be in better hands!

Location: GEIEG

The large scale multi sports complex at Girona University offers facilities to suit sports such as Cheerleading, Rugby and Football. The variety of surfaces includes real grass, sand based astro turf and the cutting edge 3G astro turf.

There is also a large stadium with a seating area for two thousand spectators
overlooking the main pitch, an ideal place for those who want to catch a glimpse of the cheerleaders in full swing or should that be tumble?

Refreshments are also available throughout the day should you need to refuel or re hydrate in preparation for the next big game.

Men’s Rugby Union

There couldn’t be more choice in TourFest’s Rugby Union calendar as this year we are offering competitions in 7’s, 10’s, Touch & a Veterans Tournament! All tournaments will be of ‘social’ standard but that is not to say that competition for the title of TourFest Champions will not be extremely high! As TourFest is a Europe-wide competition you will be faced with teams not only from the UK but local Spanish and other European lords of Rugby so there are plenty of opportunities to claim bragging rights not only on the pitch but at the bar after.

As TourFest is a brand new festival the opportunity is there to claim your teams legendary status as pioneer champions, forever remembered as the first winners. It doesn’t matter who can do the most push ups, it doesn’t matter who can drink a pint of .....water.....the fastest, the only thing that matters is who walks away with the TourFest trophy.

The day will run as a round-robin tournament where all competing teams will be split in to groups of 4, each team playing each other followed by a knockout competition, eventually the last standing team will be crowned winners.

TourFest is proud to announce that UR7s.com has become an Official Partner of our Men’s & Women’s Rugby Tournaments. The World’s First All Inclusive Sports Festival will now be known as ‘Tourfest Rugby 7s & 10s Tournament in association with Ultimate Rugby Sevens’. TourFest and UR7s.com will work in conjunction during 2010 to ensure that our Rugby Tournaments are second to none.

Cheerleading

As one of the fastest growing female sports in the UK we thought it was vital to include it in TourFest 2010. TourFest will run with both a Plate and Cup Competition. The Plate is designed to allow beginner and junior teams who are new or are relatively inexperienced at competitive Cheerleading to learn new skills and compete in a similar ability bracket. The Cup Competition is for more experiences teams that have experience in competing in Cheerleading events and stunting.
The day will run with a training camp in the morning for the Plate competitors given by experienced UK cheerleading coaches cre8, here you will be able to learn stunting and dance along with gaining valuable information on routine variations and dance style. Troops will then be able to decide whether they wish to compete in the Plate Competition or take further practice sessions during the afternoon. As the Cup competition is for more experienced teams that have their own routine, these teams will take part in a session during the morning where they will have the chance to practice and get help and tips from our cre8 coaches. This will be followed during the afternoon by the Cup Competition where your troop can show off your skills to your competitors and of course our specially selected judges.

All competitors in both the Plate and Cup Competition will fight it out to become TourFest 2010 Champions!

Information packs detailing the schedule, judging criteria and other useful information will be sent to group leaders in advance.
